Today, our school marked VE and Peace Day with a special event that brought the entire school together. The day honoured Victory in Europe Day while encouraging pupils to reflect on how they can promote peace in today’s world.

Children were grouped into mixed-year teams and rotated through a series of creative and reflective activities. From crafting peace pinwheels and commemorative coins to learning Imagine by John Lennon and exploring local VE Day celebrations, each session offered a unique way to understand peace and remembrance. Another activity was to create beautiful collage activity titled ‘People of the World’, symbolising global togetherness.

More than just a history lesson, the day was a celebration of unity, kindness, and collaboration—showing that even small actions can help build a more peaceful world.
