What Have We Been Learning?

This Autumn term we are starting to develop our phonics knowledge and put it into practice by learning to blend these sounds for reading.  We are also starting to develop our knowledge of letter formation.  In Maths we will be starting to look at each number to ten in great depth, getting comfortable with counting to 20 and backwards from 10.  We will also be starting to explore colour, shape and positional language.

Our theme for the first half-term is Marvelous Me and Traditional Tales and Customs after our half-term break.  We will be exploring our unique differences and the seasonal changes of Autumn. In PE we will be learning Gymnastics and an introduction to PE skills such as agility, balance and co-ordination. We will be exploring printing and the art of Tracy McGuiness-Kelly as well as plenty of art and craft activities as we explore the traditions of Harvest, Bonfire Night, Diwali and of course Christmas.

Our full Autumn term curriculum is available to review on the class page.
