Welford-on-Avon Primary School

What Have We Been Learning?

We have already introduced all of our phase 2 phonemes (s,a,t,p,i,n,m,d,g,o,c,k,e,u,r,h,b,l,f,ll,ff,ss), we are now working on recognising these phonemes within words to blend and readm as well as selecting the phonemes needed when segmenting to spell.

In maths we have been learning to identify and name 2D and 3D shapes.  We have been ordering numbers to 10 (and 20) and ensuring that we are counting accurately with one to one correspondence.

We are becoming confident story tellers and can now tell 'The Three Little Pigs', 'My Brother' and an adapted version of this story 'My Friend'.
